Bird nest in a vent

When spring comes certain birds start looking for the warm and safe place for their nests.

Dryer vent and exhaust vents are very often one of their favorite choices. Unfortunately, that brings a lot of trouble for the house as well as for the birds too.

Dryer vent, clogged by the nest stops working properly, but that’s not everything.

Besides fire hazard, birds can be hurt too and that brings odor into the house.

To prevent this unpleasant matter, it is highly recommended at the beginning of spring to check all the vents, where the birds had been before, listen for chirping and birds droppings, feathers near the vents.

To prevent bird nests in the vents many companies recommend vent covers of hardware cloth.

Good quality caps are preferred, because you can take them on and off easily.
